MEET YOUR DESIGNER
I remember falling in love with interior design at the age of 8. My mom took me to "take your daughter to work day" at an architecture firm she worked for. I walked into the building materials room and all the pieces just clicked into place. That discovered my passion for design which brought me to The Art Institutes of Minnesota, here I received my Bachelors Degree in Interior Design. Since then I have gained 9 years of professional experience in the design industry in both, commercial and residential design. I have an extensive background specifying cabinets, it's almost like a second language to me. I have an insatiable desire to learn things that pertain to design, I use that knowledge to provide the best customer service I can for my clients.
EVERYONE DESERVES A BEAUTIFUL HOME
I started Melissa Mathieu Designs in 2019 with a little push from my amazing husband. We are highschool sweethearts who have been married for 5 years. We have an amazing little boy that we are so grateful to have. Our son and our 2 hound dogs keep us on our toes. We love to spend quality time together, especially while being outside enjoying the great Minnesota weather. I am a firm believer in making a life you love. Not everyone gets excited to make a space come together like I do, or know how. However, everyone deserves to have a beautiful home that they deeply love that brings them peace and functionality. With my unique ability to be creative mixed with my attention to details, I am able to bring that vision to life for my clients. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me.
